Who doesn’t love a classic staircase–the ones that gleam and wind and take you from point A to point B in style? Most of us, though, have ordinary stairs, and we like all the ways that creative interior designers and homeowners are turning their basic stairs into surprising focal points in the home. Some of our favorite ideas: stairs fixed with a bold runner, with different color spindles, painted bright white or with stripes.
